History Brought to Life Through Real Life Experiences

This week, as part of their study of World War II, Year 6 were privileged to spend time with Helen from Generation2Generation.
Helen shared her mother’s moving story of growing up as a young Jewish girl in Germany at the start of the war and her family’s desperate escape from Nazi persecution. Her talk was both informative and thought-provoking, offering the children invaluable insight into the personal challenges and experiences faced by so many people during this period of history. It was a powerful opportunity for the children to deepen their understanding of the war through a deeply personal story and to reflect on the importance of remembering the past.
