Fair Field Enjoy Science Week!

For an entire week of afternoon sessions, we immersed ourselves in innovations for the future. We dived head first into current challenges for humanity and how we might use our creativity to come up with possible inventions. Children used logical, creative, imaginative and observant skills to create new robots to help with search and rescue, construction and exploration based on the natural attributes of certain insects. In addition to this task, we also designed classrooms of the future dreaming of innovations which could transform learning.

We also set up and completed experiments to classify different plastics which we use in everyday life. We learnt which were recyclable and which weren't. This supported a conversation with each class around sustainability; an important topic for our school.

To finish off an incredible week, we were joined by scientist Ian B Dunne. He blew our minds with live experiments, incredible visuals and fantastic facts. He really topped off what was an phenomenal week.
