What Did The Romans Do for Us? Year 4 Found Out

This week we looked at and made Roman tiles and learnt about the story of St Alban who was a martyr for his faith. We looked at how some of the features locally are linked to Roman Times. We studied the original brickwork on the cathedral and the road we took to get to St Albans, why is it straight. We learnt about the Romans desire for time efficiency for travel and how they tried to reduce the spots in which enemies may attack them from. We also looked at how the Romans prepared for battle and how they lived their everyday life. Well done Year 4!
