Online safety is taken seriously at Fair Field. We promote and embrace the use of technology to support and develop learning, but equally, we educate the children to do this in a safe and secure way. The children are taught about eSafety throughout their time at Fair Field, they know the ‘SMART’ rules and have frequent input and opportunities to discuss issues such as cyberbullying and what is acceptable in their everyday use of the Internet. The links provided in this area of our website are here to support parents and guide them in some key areas such as using social media safely and where to go for help and support when it is needed. The CEOP link is here for both parents and children to make a report online about an eSafety issue.
If something upsets you online or you are worried about a friend it can really help to talk to someone. There are lots of people who can help you. You should talk to an adult you trust if anything has upset you or made you feel uncomfortable whilst online.
Remember you can always call ChildLine on 0800 11 11 or visit the ChildLine website if you ever need to talk to someone in confidence. If you are worried about the behaviour of another adult online, visit Thinkuknow to make a report.
