Fantastic fundraising and a visit from the BBC!

On Friday 17th November Fair Field held a non uniform day. All of the children made a fantastic effort and we raised a whopping £287.82 for ‘Children in Need’. Thank you so much for all of your support. The day before, we also had a visit from the BBC! It was an exciting experience for the school council. The film crew arrived and worked with the children in the school hall. They wanted to see what we were doing as a school to raise money and filmed the children in their fancy dress clothes. A huge well done to all who took part, it was wonderful to see you on the television on Friday night.    ... read more

Hi, we are members of the Fair Field Speed Stacking team.  On Tuesday 21st November we took part in a Speed Stacking competition.  We were so nervous, but excited as well, because there were so many schools competing against us.  In the end, the girls came second and the boys came third.  But overall we came third.  We are very happy with our score.  We would like to say thank you to Mrs Graham and Albert’s dad, Mr Baker, for driving us.  But most of all, thank you to Mrs O’Sullivan for training us. A visit from the Fire Service!

On Wednesday 1st November, Fair Field were visited by staff from Borehamwood Fire Station. We listened to an assembly all about keeping safe at this time of year. There were reminders about how to be safe when using sparklers and never to go near a fire work that has not been set off properly. It’s an exciting time of year but the message about keeping safe was very important to hear. The children also listened to reminders about how important it is to have a working fire alarm at home. Please see the link below if you would like to contact the local fire station about getting a free smoke alarm fitted for your home.... read more
